Closing date for application
Closing date for participation in the festival will be 5th July 2009 at the latest and films will be accepted up until the closing date. We request that the required information and film DVDs for previewing to be sent to us and must arrive by the closing date. All films and related information, whether accepted or unaccepted for the festival, cannot be returned.

Requested Information and Materials

After an application has been made for the festival please send the requested materials listed below to our address.

a) Signed and completed 2009 Entry Form.
(A separate registration form for each film)
b) A VHS or DVD of your film for reviewing.
(A separate VHS and DVD must be sent for each film; More than one film on a VHS cassette or DVD may result in your film not being put in the program).
c) Filmography of the director
d) A short profile of the producer, director and main actors / actresses.
e) 2 high quality pictures (at least 300 dpi) - for the purpose of promoting your film.
f) Photograph of the director
(You may send the JPG or TIFF pictures by email to info@iicff.com or by normal post)
g) If possible poster, press releases, book and other promotional materials.
h) The production duration of your film. The reasons for making the film and the philosophy behind it. The effects of your film in the lives of children. Interesting stories that occurred behind the camera during the making of your film.
i) A trailer of the film - If there is one.
j) English dialogue list of your film.

Film selection criteria
* Fictional films, documentaries, TV projects and animation films are accepted for the festival.
* The competition is open to films made in 2004 and later.
* The films must be suitable for children of 15 years and under.
* The content of the film must be distinctive, creative, artistic and technically strong.
* It should not contain excessive and unnecessary violence, nudity or swearing.
* Films which contain religious and sexual discrimination or racism are not accepted.
* Films which are 60 minutes and over are accepted in the feature films category.
* Films which are under 60 minutes are accepted in the short film category.

Selection Committee
The selection board is made up of film makers, pedagogues and psychologists. There will be two separate juries made up of adults and children.

Important Points
* Registration forms and support materials and all correspondence must be in English.
* English copies of the film are required.
* Awards are determined by an adult jury and by a children's jury.
* Awards announced at the end of the festival. Awards are given in the form of a plaque and certificate.
* The final application date for selection and for the necessary entry form and support materials is 5th July 2009.

Very Important
A separate form must be filled-in for each film and each film must be sent separately. Cassettes that contain more than one film will not be accepted.
