Mission
The International Istanbul Children's Film Festival (IICFF), which had its first screening for children in October 2003, offers the audience examples of World Children's Cinema and children's films.
IICFF aims to bring children closer to culture and art and takes an important step in creating the cinema audience of the future.
Festival 6-19 November 2009
This year the International Istanbul Children's Film Festival (IICFF) will take place 6-19 November 2009. The festival will be held over 14 days and will include films, workshops, cinema museum excursion, opening gala, parties, award ceremony and other activities.
Applications for participation in the competition and festival have begun
Applications to be accepted in the International Istanbul Children's Film Festival have begun. You may apply to take part in this year's festival's competition and also the film show which is not part of the competition. The closing date for applications is 5th July 2009.
Popcorn Awards ...
In the festival the Popcorn Awards will be distributed between 7 separate categories. The festival will have prizes for the Best Feature Film, the Best Feature Length Animation Film, the Best Short Film, the Best Short Animation Film, The Children's Jury Award, the Young Directors and Small Directors.
